Liffey Voyage is a multimedia celebration of the river Liffey as a living, breathing entity. It’s a journey through space and time, revealing the river’s life, its rich history, associated stories and legends, artistic and literary significance, its industrial and recreational uses and natural resources. The user is placed in situ on a virtual representation of the Liffey and allowed to navigate a boat along the river’s course. Numerous “hotspots” located along the river banks indicate different areas of interest and are available for exploration. Liffey Voyage guarantees a unique encounter with the Irish grand dame, Anna Livia.
